I am a faculty member in Information Systems (IS) at Carnegie Mellon University with affiliations across the Dietrich College of Humanities and Social Sciences, the Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy, and the Integrative Design, Arts, and Technology Network. I also serve as the Senior Director for the School of Information Systems Management at Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy at Carnegie Mellon. I teach research-focused, interdisciplinary, and experiential learning courses at the intersection of technology, design, and human behavior.
I am a behavioral information systems researcher by training. My research investigates micro-level IS phenomena - including adoption, continuation of use, and trust - with a focus on how users psychologically and behaviorally engage with intelligent conversational agents and crowdsourcing platforms.
I am an active member of the Information Systems community, serving in leadership roles at our field's main conferences as a track chair, mini-track chair, and associate editor, including at AMCIS (Americas Conference of Information Systems), HICSS (Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences), and ICIS (International Conference of Information Systems).
I received my Ph.D. in Information Systems from the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College, City University of New York, an M.Phil. in Business from the City University of New York, an MBA and a B.Sc. in Computer Science from the American University of Beirut.
